Job Title: PHP Web Developer

Location : Shoreditch, London

Salary : up to £25K, dependant on experience

You will have two or more years experience in technical back-end development of web sites, a good knowledge of php and have a portfolio of work that you can show us.

Job Role

Multichannel TV (www.multichanneltv.com) is a fast expanding company based in Shoreditch.

We create, deploy and promote business-to-business Internet TV programmes and podcasts for blue-chip clients. All programmes are delivered our unique suite of interfaces developed in-house.

The job role is to work within the technical team developing of new functionality for this and other associated back-end web applications for our clients.

Candidate profile 

You will be a problem solver and be a team player which is a key element to us, and want to work in an ever growing and dynamic team that faces new challenges every day. The ability to be able to communicate technical vision and ideas is important. You would preferably live in London, however we flexible on working arrangements.

Skills

We require a strong knowledge and experience of the following: -

- PHP coding (preferably PHP5 with an object oriented approach)
- MySQL database structures
- XML

It is desirable that you have some experience and knowledge of: -

JavaScript (including Ajax)
Core Linux functions and administration

Experience

We will want to see a portfolio of your work that demonstrates applications such as: -

- User registration & membership applications

- E-commerce enablement of websites

- Social networking (i.e. blogs, forums, etc)

- Website content Management

Desirable attributes

We are looking for a technical but well grounded individual who wants to be the best in their field both inside and outside work. Interests in computer based and audio/visual projects outside work are desirable such as computing, technology, video or music making.
