Our unique technology and user interface underpin the Multichannel TV service. It helps bring a geographically dispersed audience closer together and gives 'direct touch' to companies selling through channels, networks and partners.
Here are a few of the key features: -
Picture quality – We conduct testing of the user’s connection at the beginning of the viewing session to ensure that the quality is matched as well as possible meaning that the programme plays as smoothly as possible. To us quality of playback is everything.
PowerPoint slide integration – An integral part of many programmes and a common problem for many other Internet TV providers. With MultiChannel TV, the user can see slides in high resolution and also can review them at any time within the program without affecting playback. A downloadable version of the PowerPoint is offered at the end of programs as standard.
Related documents and links – Your TV station becomes a powerful centre for product knowledge with links to related programs, other documents such as PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, plus links out to the related information on extranets and intranets
Programme chapters – Programs can be subdivided making searching for content extremely straightforward and navigable plus the ability to link straight into programs segments via other web applications such as training and assessment.
Flexible delivery formats including mobile devices – Programmes can be delivered in formats specifically tailored user’s iPod and mobile devices for offline viewing, for example on a train journey
Detailed management information - Traditional web hosting is only able to tell how much a programme has been accessed. This fails to address some important metrics in terms of how effective the program was and whether the information within it has been properly assimilated.
For instance just because someone started watching it, doesn’t mean they viewed the programme in full. Many valuable pieces of management information needed in order to measure a return on investment are lost using traditional hosting methods. Multichannel TV provides the following in an OpenChannel deployment : -
- How many times the programme has been assessed plus what percentage viewed it all
- How long each programme was watched, divided into 30 second bands
- Viewing patterns – most popular time of day, most popular days, etc
- Where had users been prior to watching the program
- Where did users go after they watched the program
For a full Multichannel TV deployment (where there are registered viewers), we additionally provide the following: -
- Details on a per user basis as to programmes watched
- Details on a per user basis of ‘Calls to action’ followed at the end of each programme
- Most active users, least active users
- Which registered users have never used the system
- Total viewing time on a per user basis
- Feedback/ratings received on each programme
- Total number of ‘adverts’ clicked
